Vtg Pelton Crane 1000W Model 214C Medical Dental Tattoo Instrument Sterilizer

I have up for sale an old vintage original , I believe circa 1940s or 50s , Pelton & Crane Co - Detroit Model 214C Sterilizer . This is a steam sterilizer for medical/dental/tattoo instruments. It is in good working condition but the cord where it fits into the back of the machine is frayed and should be attended to.  The machine works as far as I can tell, it heats up when plugged in and the switch is set to one of the 3 heat levels.
The machine is in good cosmetic condition and as stated works. There is a small dent on the lower right front that you will notice when viewing pics of the front. Some minor wear to the chrome finish. the lever for opening and closing works fine. The switch for turning on and off , along with heat settings appears to work but I am not sure how to judge what is Fast / Medium / or Slow heat. Where the plug fits into the back of the unit is frayed and the rubber is pulled away. This should be gone over by someone who has some electrical savvy to make sure that its safe. I am selling it AS IS.  The inside of the tank has calcium buildup and needs to be cleaned . Most of it would scrape off but I would think that its best to do that then use some CLR.
The machine stands approx 8" at the hinges for the top lid, its approx 8" deep in all, and roughly 17" total length. The tray measures approx 4-3/8" wide by 13" long and approx 3/4" deep. The inside cavity of the tank measures approx 5" wide by 14" long and roughly 3-1/8" deep. The unit weighs approx 19 lbs.
UPON RECEIVING THE ITEM - ONLY THROW OUT THE BOX AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM AND ARE HAPPY THAT THERE ARE NO DAMAGES.
IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED  -CONTACT ME ASAP -  KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM.  YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING , YOU WOULD NEED PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND PICS OF THE DAMAGED ITEM. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL. I hold the right to ship in an alternative method of shipping if I deem it more safe because of the items fragility , issues due to size, etc.
