The Cross is made in a stunning medieval shield style with a knight, sword, stars, and the rays of enlightenment. It has black, white, red, and gold enamel, tiny white seed pearls and ruby cabochons, and a brushed dark gold tone base.

The Cross of Honor is awarded to members with three or more years of conspicuous meritorious service who have made "exceptionally outstanding efforts" on behalf of DeMolay.
The Order of DeMolay was founded in 1919 for young men between the age of 12 and 21 and is a part of the Freemason family of organizations.
