Engraving on the back "From the Mason's of Burlington Iowa 5877 Joseph S. Halliday".
Several years ago I was able to contact The Mason's Lodge in Iowa they stated he was member of the Freemason in the late 1800's. I do not remember the exact year.
This piece has light scratches and shows next to no wear.
