M.A. Hadley pottery LID ONLY, Lid with tall ship design, Boat, Fish, Whale, Sea

Description

This is a M. A. Hadley pottery lid whose design features a tall ship with three sails on one side of the lid and a whale on the other side of the lid.  The lid is a salt-glazed pale gray color with the decorations featuring the colors blue, green and pink.  It is a dense stoneware lid with the knob on the lid integrated into the pottery.  I
t measures approximately 8 5/8 inches across from side to side.  The inner ring of the lid measures approximately 7 inches across while the knob is 2 inches across.  M. A. Hadley signed the underside of the lid in blue.  I am selling the lid only.
The lid pictured in my photographs is the very one that you will receive.  As you can see for yourself from examining my photographs, it is in very good condition.  It has no cracks and no repairs, but it does have one minor flea-bite on its underside edge, which I have called your attention to in my last photograph.  It is a lovely piece of art pottery by a well known artist.
