Lot 9 Vintage Antique Hanselmann Masonic Medals, Pins, Knights Templar KT16 Ohio
This is a collection of 9 Masonic medals and pins from the Hanselmann Commandery #16, Southwestern Division of The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Ohio.
Overall very good condition with normal age related wear. All pins/clasps in good working order. Metal parts in very good condition and may have patina from age.
The 9 items in this lot are as follows
:
1) Top bar with text "CHICAGO" and "1910" is 1-1/2" wide. Medal is approx. 1-3/8" square and in shape similar to iron cross. Text includes the date the Commandery was instituted (Oct. 15, 1869). Ribbon is dirty and starting to fray, but still holding good to medal and brooch.
2) Top bar with text "SARATOGA 1907" is 1-5/8" wide. Medal is approx. 1-3/4" wide and 2-1/4" high. Gold tome medal has cross design with red, white and black enamel. Maker name and city stamped on back: CHAS M. ROBBINS CO., ATTLEBORO, MASS, USA.
3) Top bar with text "SARATOGA" is 1-1/2" wide. Medal is approx. 1-5/8" wide and has ornate gold tone design with silver color cross in center.
4) Top bar with text "TOLEDO, O." is 1-1/2" wide, and triangle shield medal is also approx. 1-1/2" wide. Medal has text "73RD ANNUAL CONCLAVE" and "CINCINNATI No. 3 K.T.", "HANSELMANN No. 16 K.T.", and "TRINITY COMMANDERY CINCINNATI 44". Maker name and city stamped on back: MILLER JEWELRY CO, CINTI, O. Ribbon is dirty and very frayed, but still partially holding to medal and brooch.
5) Top bar with text "1908" is 1-1/2" wide, and triangle medal with white, black and red enamel is also measures approx. 1-1/2" wide at base. Border with white and black enamel has text "CINCINNATI No. 3", HANSELMANN No. 16", and "TRINITY No. 44". Maker name and city stamped on back: THE MILLER JEWELRY CO, CIN., O. Ribbon is dirty and starting to fray, but still holding good to medal and brooch.
6) Top bar with text "CENTENNIAL SESSION GRAND LODGE OHIO" is 1-1/2" wide. Round medal has 1-1/4" diameter, and has Masonic compass & square design in the center. A few very small specks of the black paint background have worn/chipped off. Text on border includes dates of event (Oct. 21-22, 1908) and F&AM at top. Maker name and city stamped on back: THE CHAS M. ROBBINS CO., ATTLEBORO, MASS.
7) Pin for 72ND Annual Conclave in Columbus, Ohio. Circular shaped medal has approx. 1-1/2" diameter, and has floral decorated cross and two small iron crosses, one white and one black. A small piece of the white paint on the small iron cross has worn/chipped off. Maker name and city stamped on back: GREEN DUCK, CHICAGO.
8) Small pin in the shape of a flag with black and white enamel surrounding gold text "HANSELMANN". Measures approx. 1-1/4" length. Maker name and city stamped on back: ROBBINS CO., ATTLEBORO, MASS.
9) Small pin in the shape of a cross with red enamel. Measures approx. 1-1/8" by 7/8". White enamel circle has gold text "HANSELMANN K16T"
All metal parts are non-metallic and have not been tested to determine actual metal types.
