Shipped with USPS wrapped in an ESD bag and bubble wrap.
Each wafer contains at least 1100mg thorium dioxide compound mixed into an acrylic epoxy wafer.
This item does not glow or scintillate due to decay. 150mg stronium aluminate and 150mg Lit™ Pigment are added to each wafer for UV reactivity and glow effect.
Thorium dioxide emits alpha particles and undergoes (beta and/or gamma decay).
The 1100mg wafer weighs 3.5g and is 2" by 1.2" (50x30mm)and less than 1/4 inch (2.5mm)  thick.
When this sample is placed within 1/4 inch of the if the geiger tube as shown in the picture, it will produce a count above 300CPM.
