(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1994 Chevrolet Suburban on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the vehicle due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 170 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the Suburban's Michigan-owned-since-new Carfax history report, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
"No ordinary wagon can make these claims: Seats up to eight; holds up to 3,500 pounds; tows up to 18,000 pounds" - 1994 Chevy Suburban magazine advertisement
Offered here is an excellent, unmodified example of a well-maintained, solid-condition, 2-wheel-drive 1994 Suburban in two-tone Atlantic-blue-and-light-blue over blue. Over its 28-year life, the family truck has traveled 104,766 miles, or 3,741 miles per-year on average, just 20% of the industry mileage standard. From the lovely condition of the interior, it's evident the family had pretty strict rules against food or horseplay in the cabin.
The Suburban's handsome two-tone blue exterior paint is in very good condition across the entire body with generally even gloss and a smooth finish; the hood shows some fading from the sun. Portions of the truck-notably the side doors-have been re-sprayed in the factory color. There are no dents, dings, or other damage on the body. The rear of the truck features a combination drop-down tailgate with a large, lift-up rear window above for excellent rearward visibility. Clearly its Michigan owners have taken good care of the truck and driven it with care. Chrome bumpers and lower bodyside trim are undamaged with the front grille showing some light patina consistent with age. Lighting lenses are clear and free of cracks. Cabin glass is clear; passenger-area glass carries a dark tint. Original factory badges and emblems remain in place. Stock steel wheels (with chrome center caps and trim rings) are mounted with Phantom® HT tires.
The Suburban's interior shows further signs of owner care. Not only is it very clean, the hard surfaces are free of damage with only light patina on some, including the steering wheel. The shifter for the automatic transmission is column-mounted. The dashboard is of the period square design with large analog gauges augmented with digital information. Switchgear and controls retain crisp graphics and markings; the factory audio system is mounted in the center-dash with a factory Dolby® cassette player to its right; HVAC controls are below. The two-tone-blue fabric upholstery on all three rows of seating (front captain's chairs, split-back, foldable second row, and third-row bench seat) retains its factory good looks showing only minimal wear on seat cushions. The front seats are separated by a deep, center storage compartment with cup holders; an overhead console includes map lights and more storage compartments. Door trim features both matching seat fabric and darker blue carpet. Light blue carpeting (protected by rubber mats) covers the cabin floors and including the cargo area.
Under the hood, the original 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 powerplant is clean and well-ordered. There are no modifications apparent. All components-including air conditioning-are properly mounted; wiring and hoses are routed as intended. The engine bay is clean and tidy without being overly detailed with shine-enhancing spray-on products. Viewed from below, the truck's chassis is clean with all components present and undamaged.
While the more than 170 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '94 Suburban in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.
Suburbans are definitely not "ordinary wagons." As TruckTrend (Motor Trend exclusive content) put in February 2016: "(The) '94 Suburban... was ahead of its time in many ways and even today, could humble most modern vehicles in the performance department." On top of that, the Suburban's legendary reliability, roominess, comfort, and three-row seating set the standard for family haulers back in the day. And that standard still holds today.
Road trip, anyone?

About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
