The car was ordered for a Chrysler executive’s wife. When it was ordered from Milan, Italy, she did not like the color yellow, so it was professionally unassembled, re-painted, then reassembled by a specialty Chrysler assembly plant. The TC features a detachable
hard top with
circular, beveled-glass
opera windows
with a six-point latching system and a manually operated cloth lined convertible top in tan. The bordeaux interior seamlessly flows with the exterior color. The TC's dash, door panels, seats, armrest, and rear fascia panels were covered in hand-stitched Italian black leather. Inside door jambs were finished with stainless steel panels and steel plates. The convertible boot, over which the hardtop rests, is a body-colored metal panel. A special interior storage compartment comes with an umbrella, a Maserati shopping bag and manual, hard top stand with wheels and small spare tire that allows the use of the full-sized trunk even with the top down.
