Up for auction, One (1) 1990 two-wheel drive Squarebody Suburban with the desirable Regency Conversion. I've owned this truck for approximately 7 years and it has served as my daily driver for the majority of that time. It has never let me down or left me stranded. To my knowledge, the previous owners were all in the same family, before my acquisition. The truck has a lot going for it. First of all, the Regency Conversion, which adds a host of aesthetic options to an already good looking Suburban. The Regency Conversion included custom paint, molded fiberglass running boards, front seat captains chairs, wood front console, full length overhead console with mood lighting (I have these pieces), and additional mood lighting cloaked above the rear side windows (I have these pieces). Plus, wood adorns each door panel and at one time the dash (the dash wood is long gone, but I have pieces wood pieces from another suburban that could be used as a template). In addition, I have added my own touches with the addition of a color matched cowl induction hood, Center Line HT cast wheels that were made specifically for heavy duty vehicles like the Suburban, an Optima red top battery, and custom exhaust with a singe stainless muffler with dual side by side outlets. In addition, in January 2018, I replaced the stock transmission with a heavy duty unit from Phoenix Transmission, a leader in 700r4 overdrive transmissions. I also put Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners back in 2018. I have the Suburban badge that goes on the passenger rear barn door. The truck came well equipped with power windows, power driver's seat, power locks, power steering, power brakes, AM-FM cassette deck, A/C front and rear, map lights, cruise control, fold down second row seats, cargo liner, and more.
This is not a show truck though and as a daily driver shows wear as one would expect on a 31 year old truck with over 100k miles. Speaking of the odometer, it hasn't worked since 2019, when it stopped at 123,000 miles. It's my estimation that the truck still has under 150k miles given the limited amount of driving the truck sees annually. There are normal small dings, paint chips, and paint flaking/pealing as is evident in the images. In addition, the roof has surface rust and there is one serious location of rust under the driver's side long rear window. From what I've seen this isn't uncommon on squarebody Suburbans. There are also mechanical things that need attention. The oil pressure gauge has a mind of it's own and the needle bounces around out of control. The check engine light turns on and off intermittently. The stereo and speakers have seen better days. They work, but not well. The air conditioning and heater are not working and I don't know if the A/C needs a recharge or if it's something more serious. The truck could use a new headlight adjustment kit for all four lamps. It's very common for the plastic that secures the adjustment mechanism to dry up and crumble on these trucks.
Cosmetically, there are some issues too. The aforementioned surface rust on the roof, there a crack in the air dam below the front bumper, there are some small dings on the cowl hood, the paint and clear is flaking off the desirable rear barn doors, and the grip strips on the passenger side running boards came off (I still have them).
I would suggest if you are interested in buying this Suburban that you come see it in person or send a qualified person to inspect the vehicle before bidding. Please don't place a bid expecting to negotiate or haggle regarding condition or price after the auction ends. In addition, there is no warranty on this vehicle. You are buying the Suburban as-is, where-is. Clean conversion Suburbans are getting harder to find, snag it before it's gone.
A 0 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment is due within 7 days and the Suburban must be picked up within 14 days of auction end.
Thanks for looking and best of luck!
