CLEAN, SLICK, 400 V8, TH350 AUTO, PWR STEER/BRAKES, COLD A/C!!
The popularity of the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" meant everyone was trying to get their hands on a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Hit car shows like Discovery's Fast 'N Loud have only reinvigorated the demand with builds and cameo's with Burt Reynolds. So, the demand has always remained high, and today prices are skyrocketing. But this one is your opportunity to get an extremely clean, slick beauty, without breaking the bank.
The second-generation Trans Am was a seriously intimidating package. The wide ground effects in front of the wheel wells, integrated rear spoiler, fender vents, and shaker hood all gives this a real presence on the streets. And these later cars had a deep-dipping Endura front end that gave these Firebird T/As a true aggressive beak. While this is a great classic look, you can also see some more modern flair on this example with the metallic red paint. But even with this upgrade, they didn't forget to return the hallmark features, like the hood bird that leads the way on a proper T/A.
The tan interior looks great against the exterior red. The carpeting, door panels, and headliner have a nice clean presentation. And the high-back bucket seats and center console add plenty of comfort. The same goes for the cold-blowing factory air conditioning and the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. This T/A is a true driver's machine, and that's why you have the floor shifter and grippy sports steering wheel specific to the Trans Am. And beyond that is front tubular control arms with coil overs.
Under the hood is proper Pontiac power with the 400 cubic-inch V8. It has an exceptionally honest presentation, right down to the correct turquoise block. But looks can be a bit deceiving. That's because this V8 has been upgraded with performance pieces like a four-barrel carburetor and small camshaft. The tidy look of the engine bay tells you it has been treated with care, and the way this one fires up reaffirms it. The original TH-350 transmission gives you full control of the power and the growl of the newer dual exhaust. It's a great T/A offered for a great price. Call now!
